I am a little late with my Feb review but the boxes were late arriving. I was lucky enough to get a gift of a subscription to Bellabox from my great friend Catriona for my birthday. It was one of the most thoughtful gifts I have ever received and I was so excited opening the first one. It’s like a present every month! For those of you not familiar, Bellabox offers 5 or more samples of products each month for people to try.
Here’s what was included:
1. Essie Polish in fashion playground
2. Neutrogena hydro boost
3. Aveena daily moisturising lotion
4. Biodermia hydrabio serum
5. LOreal Keraste nutritive nectar thermique
This was a nice little mixture and I got straight into it.
I LOVE the Essie Polish. If you follow me on Instagram you would have seen me wearing this. I wear OPI polishes and a mixture of drugstore brands but I will be trying this from now on. I even picked up a second shade today to add to the collection. The colour is fun too. I wear lots of pinks and neutral tones so would never have purchased this colour, but it is really fun.
I was not a big fan of the Neutrogena hydro boost. I use a lot of cosmeceutical products in my line of work and use a Vitamin B serum everyday for hydration. This didn’t match up. It has a lovely smell and I liked the texture and feel on my skin but I need something a little stronger for my constantly dry face.
The Aveena daily moisturiser was great and I would easily pop this into my shopping trolley again. It is fragrance free and promises to moisturise for 24 hours. It soaks into skin quickly and is an all round nice moisturiser.
I am in love with the Biodermia serum. This is a moisturising concentrate for dry and sensitive skin. It has a pleasant smell, lightly perfumed and is a great gel like serum (if that makes sense!). It was instantly cooling and hydrating on the skin. I will definitely be buying a full size version of this in the near future.
L’Oreal Kerastase hair treatment was a pleasant surprise! I have short hair and dye it every 6 weeks. I wear hair gel and a LOT of hair spray everyday so it is always dry. It looks great for a week after colouring and then it goes crappy again. I put this on after a shower last week and it felt so soft and luxurious. The next day I could not stop touching my hair. I imagine if you have long locks this would be insane to use and has a heat styling protective agent also. If you need some hair repair get this ASAP!
Chapstick is Chapstick! It is one of those items we should always have in our handbags and get for keep lips smooth, protected and hydrated.
Overall, you can see I was a happy camper with the above products. I would not have bought these were it not for the Bellabox and I now have a few more products that I can add to my wish list.
Have any of you tried these products and what did you think?
