My empties this time round are all to do with the face – Foundations, concealer and a hydrating mist.

Maybelline Fit me dewy and smooth:
€11.99
This has been empty for a very long time and I really don’t know why I haven’t found time to repurchase. You will have seen in old posts that this is an all time favourite of mine. I would even go as far to say it’s my absolute favourite foundation. I was wearing shade 125 but it’s a little dark for me now so I need to do another colour match. This is for normal to dry skin and so worth a try. There is one also to suit oiler skins. I like to use mineral during the day as much as possible but this is my next favourite and I always used at night-time when I had it.

Maybelline Fit Me concealer:
€8.99
Another goodie from Maybelline. I have been using the last drops of this the past few days. It’s a handy one to have. I like to use Mac prolong wear for night-time or days I look very tired but otherwise this is lovely. I apply with a beauty blender and it doesn’t cake in my fine lines.

Note luminous moisturising foundation:
€9.95
I’ve talked about this a lot lately. I’ve been using this foundation since February and I’ve liked it, not liked it and liked it again. The coverage is great and it blends very well. I feel sometimes it’s not hydrating enough. When I use when my skin is more hydrated it’s great. I find it wears off quickly around my nose and I need extra powder but that’s a small thing. For the price point it is so worth a try. Note cosmetics have some great products and I will try it again in the future along with more from the range.

Garnier moisture bomb protect hydrating mist:
From €8.99
I like the idea of having a mist that will hydrate throughout the day. I love the skin nerds spritz o clock on her snapchat and agree it is worth doing. However, I didn’t like this product. It did hydrate but I felt like I was spraying deodorant on my face. I’m going to try a few more but this wasn’t for me and I won’t be repurchasing.

Let me know if you have tried any of these.

February favourites

March is here! WTF!
Time to run through my Feb favourites.

Top of my list is, surprise surprise, a skincare product!

I have developed some Melasma recently and started a product to lighten it. Melasma is a real pain in the ass form of pigmentation, that is very difficult to get rid of. I’m in the process of writing a post for you all about it to explain how it happens! Anyway, I have been trying Brightenex from ZO skin health and it’s pretty damn good. I’ve been using it all of Feb and it is working wonders. I will include this in my post

Next up is Maybelline Dream Wonder Fluid Touch foundation. I’m nearly empty and I have been using this because it is so light weight in the hot Sydney weather. It gives good coverage but feels like I am wearing no foundation! I’m actually obsessed with Maybelline at the moment. This is very runny so I apply a small amount on a brush and blend in. I have tried with fingers in the past and it doesn’t work as well. It’s a great foundation to try.

I’ve also used up all of my Rimmel Extra 3D lash mascara. The application wand is thin and slightly curved so it is very easy to get in to all the baby lashes that can sometimes escape. I absolutely LOVE thus product.

Finally, my last favourite for the month is a cute notebook my mom sent me. I’ve been using this for jotting down ideas for blogs and future plans and ventures. I love having an idea book to keep myself motivated.

My current empties

I have been recently using up all the last bits of some of my make up and skin care products. My empties for March have been

Aspect Hydrating mask
-Medik8 Hydra8 B5 serum
– Inglot Cream foundation

I have already discussed these in previous posts over the past few months but I think they deserve another mention.

I cannot live without my Aspect Mask and now that it’s started to cool here again my skin needs it so badly. This product is ideal for all skin types but will benefit dehydrated, dry and dull skins the most. It is a great anti ageing product and I love slathering it on as it contains Hyaluronic Acid and Glycosaminoglycans which are excellent for hydration. It is also packed with antioxidants and willow bark to help purify the skin.

While we are on the topic of hydration I also need to point out Medik8 Hydra8 B5 serum. Apply this after cleansing and put your moisturiser / spf on top and your skin will stay hydrated all day long. This contains both hyaluronic acid and B5 so a super boost to the skin. It’s so light and absorbs into the skin in seconds. Even on hot days the skin can become dry so I recommend this for people going on holidays and it is excellent to use on flights. Air con is a bitch to the skin! I use this all year round and will be replacing this very soon!

Finally, I have to mention my Inglot Cream Foundation in no 24. I have been using this on and off for 9 months and I like everything about it. The coverage is excellent and the colour is great. It’s easy to find one to suit your skin. It’s hydrating for my skin and from using it I imagine it would suit an oily skin type too. It lasts a long time too which is always a plus πŸ‘

Have any of you tried these products or any good suggestions for similar ones to try??
